this festival in december every year is hindu cracker day.
diwali- hindu crackers day > noisy , tremendously pollutining festival, many hindus indulge in gambling on thiis day. but hindus take pride in this foloshness. celebrated in memory of hindu king namely ram who killed dravidian king of lanka-ravan by hitting on his privare part( below abdomen), desrted his wife , sita after growing suspicious on her character, and killed a shudra( dalit/ low caste person) when the latter was meditating in a jungle(as per epic valmik ramayan). oldest scripture ( actually nothing more than an epic)-valmik ramayan at no place mentions rama as a so-called reincarnation odf god( nas orthodox hindus believe) but merely a king. but bra-mans ( priestly hindoos) sidelined the valmik ramayan and gave over-importance to ramayan by tulsi das. {note:-valmik was a shudra but tulsidas was a bra-man}.
