dollwave
a highly common and well known musical sub-genre, particularly within the australian scene. bands such as courtney barnett, mac demarco, scott & charlene’s wedding all fall neatly into this category. identified by many of the same characteristics as indie rock, slacker rock, shoe gaze, etc. if you can’t tell them apart then you don’t appreciate the scene.
i just popped up to the tote last thursday to see a neato little dollwave gig, it was ace!
