adj. 1) the m-ss media reaction to something so fantastically tragic, immediate and vast in scope that normal human emotional responses are insufficient, like the gulf oil spill, or the haitian earthquake, or 9/11.
2) movies or media based on disasters or war, sometimes called disaster p-rn.
