a situation where somebody is not sure whether to hold the door open for an approaching but slow or a faraway person and maybe creating awkwardness for both parties, or to not bother holding the door and risk looking insensitive
the worst part of a dooremma is people are not sure whether to thank the person for holding the door open, or to curse the person for involuntarily rushing them through the door.
