drumstep is the incestuous lovechild of drum ‘n’ b-ss and dubstep; taking the half-time swagger and wobble from dubstep and mixing it with the general tempo and cadence of an amen break.
a few early stand out producers within this subgenre are dub foundation and heist. additionally, many current drum ‘n’ b-ss and dubstep producers have written and produced drumstep tracks or remixes. one such example might be rob swire’s drumstep vip mix of “witchcraft”, from his band pendulum’s latest alb-m, “immersion”
