Duanism
the insertion of a complex and infrequently used word in a sentence. the use of such word typically occurs once in a lifetime, such as in one’s 8th grade vocabulary test.
my first duanism of the day came when i said the word “superfluous” when i could have easily said someone put extra and irrelevant information in the report.
