probably originating from california in the 1980’s, this is not a strict word definition, but rather the art of phrasing the beginning and ending of a question or request with the pr-noun “dude”; therefore becoming the proverbial bread that contains the subject matter. also called a california sandwich, although nothing to do with aformentioned simpson’s baby eating definition
