(adjective) a projectile lacking any form of guidance, other than normal aiming. generally used to distinguish it from “smart”, “intelligent”, or “precision guided” weapons. (i.e. dumbfire rockets).
when our helicopter’s targeting system failed, we had to use our h-llfire missiles as dumbfire rockets.
