Ear Holed
a term describing a situation encountered in the sport of american football, referring to one player being tackled/blocked in the side of the head without previous knowledge or warning of impact. it is referred to as “getting ear holed” because the ear hole on a football helmet is usually a devastating blind spot. getting ear holed can often cause concussions.
ethan was watching the safety approaching on his left, but the outside linebacker totally ear holed him from the right.
