larry lessig and dave winer have the very clever idea of a polling site based on blog links and click-throughs:
lessig wrote a p-ssioned essay about the presidential election of 2004, and he wanted to tell people who agreed with his choice to click on a link to express their support. and if they really supported what he was saying, they could write their own essay and link to the same page.
