Eskimo Friday
in nordic countries such as russia, scandinavia and canada, the friday before christmas (i.e the friday between december 18-24), especially one when its snowing like h-ll outside and you have maybe a foot or more of snow outside. on these fridays, the temperature can drop to something like -20 to -25 degrees celsius with no windchill factor.
according to family legend, my grandmother was born on an eskimo friday, a friday, december 24.
