Excuse Exchange
when two struggling artists who claim to be anti-corporate meet unexpectedly in a corporate environment where they clearly work. suddenly a need to justify their presence arise and both make excuses to the fact.
typical for musicians, artists, writers, actors, etc.
i ran into jim in the lobby at work this morning. we had an excuse exchange since i told him i’m a professional musician. all he could talk about was how he was only at the gig part-time but his acting is “really taking off”…. yeah right, just like my music career! busted!
