extroverted insecurity
an extreme form of fishing for compliments, when the subject’s narcissism and shaky sense of ident-ty create a desperate cry for attention. can take the form of a public request for validation of personality via “feedback.” often followed by a recap of all the positive (and some negative) responses on social media.
“hey all, in my never-ending quest to define myself, i’m asking for your thoughts! what am i good at? what can i do better? all responses will be considered, and nothing is off the table!”
oh no. is sarah at it again? i guess some people only know how to use social media to feed their extroverted insecurity.
