the time period one allows when someone has written on one’s wall, sent one a message or otherwise been facebook-acted upon. this is a tool used to hide the true amount of time someone has spent on facebook, so as not to appear as one who has nothing better to do.
guy 1: so this really hot chick i met last night friended me and wrote on my wall, so i wrote back.
guy 2: i hope you allowed for a facebook delay so she knows you’re not a huge loser.
