a derogatory term, usually applied to a canadian. refers to someone who wears high-end camping gear in urban or otherwise inappropriate settings. this type of person typically sees themselves as a ‘lone wolf’, or somehow removed from acceptable social conventions. although they often picture themselves in a canoe, on a wind driven lake, they are most often found at a desk and on a computer.
only a fleece queen would wear a marmot sh-ll with a shirt and tie.
