Flirjection

a practice commonly used by women to reject a man who is interested in them and they are not interested in. this is done by flirting with him, leading him on, or acting s-xually provocative. the result is that the man believes he is desired, when in reality he is not. women believe this form of communication is very clear and are frequently surprised when they come off in the wrong way.
tony: “you’re beautiful and i love spending time with you. want to go out on a date sat-rday night?”
carolyn: “of course, i can’t wait to see you again handsome!”

sunday afternoon….

tony: “why didn’t you show up last night?”
carolyn: “well i just think we are better off as friends. didn’t i make that clear?”
tony: “oh i get it, you used flirjection on me. a simple ‘no’ would have sufficed.”
