Florahome, Florida
florahome (“home of flowers”) is a very small town in n. florida that lies on s.r. 100 between gainesville and palatka (or st. augustine, for those of you who have no idea where palatka is). the population is about 2000 and consists mainly of white trash… with a few exceptions (mainly depending on proximity to waterfront property). in florahome there is a post office, a gas station/convenient store, a flashing yellow light, a park, a softball field, a newly built general dollar, a plant nursery, and a feed store. oh, and a bunch of old, grungy trailers. and that’s about it.
