Flurrflake
a small ice crystal that falls in short bursts and has no acc-mulation. not to be confused with snowflakes, these are much smaller, and identical. considered to be a major hazard as they cause slippery driving conditions.
for about a half an hour this morning we had a good dusting of flurrflakes.
