Fly Rail
in theatre, the long line of handles and ropes, typically stage right or left in the upstage wingsp-ce of a theatre. the ropes- “purchase lines,” control the up and down travel of scenery, lights, effects and equipment suspended in the air by a system of pulleys, cables, pipes, and counterweights.
this is where the techies can be found during a run week, when on standby.
