(wilson) & dr. bob (smith) founded aa in 1935 in akron, ohio. in 2001, there were an estimated over 2 million members in 108,000 groups meeting in approximately 150 countries around the world! aa has helped so very many people & if you’re having a layover at an airport or bus station, you can have them page “friends of bill w.” so you’ll have another recovering alcoholic to talk with! sane for na, which sprang from aa, just page “friends of jimmy k.”. most people there won’t know what you’re talking about.
