furcation
a corporate put-some-shine-on-this-p–p term for an unpaid furlough of five or more consecutive work-days. often said with heavy irony. a combination of the words furlough and vacation.
chris: “where are you going on your furcation?”
mike: “to buy a bunch of ramen noodles, sit on the couch, and try not to spend any money.”
