the exploitation of one’s own h-m-s-xuality to renew interest in a celebrity career that has, by all accounts, jumped the shark many moons ago.
anne heche and george takei (of tv’s star trek) are both guilty of some major gaysploitation after outing themselves on the m-ss media scene, thus renewing their media sweetheart status.
exploiting ignorant gay or lesbian people in the creation of a media work by showing off their stereotypical behavior, similar to blaxploitation.
