similar to greenwashing, the act of adding something to your product, advertis-m-nt or tv show to make it gay to make sure you’re being politically correct.
the new token in tv shows is having a gay character or couple, even if the actor is clearly hetros-xual. “every sitcom i watch has been practicing gaywashing. if they don’t have a gay sub-plot, they’re just not pc, so they have to add one.”
