Get ‘er Done

a redneck term used to prod a fellow to complete a task; i.e. finish a beer.

straight up redneck term. used at anytime where you need to show excitment. usually four wheeling through mud, drinking, any time with fun, motors, women, or hunting. do i get a h-ll yeah!
rallying a chevy with a 358 through the mud at the rev limiter with two hot women, t-ties, budweiser, and country tunes cranked. get er done!
used by rednecks everywhere after the release of the blue collar commedy tour. upon seeing this video, rednecks weren’t really sure what the phrase meant, but learned that by using it, one could get laughter and applause from other members of the same species. rednecks also use this phrase as an escape from intelligent conversation. it is doubful that anyone who has used this phrase has actually gotten her done.
“bye y’all! see ya at the circle track tomorrow night!”
“get er done!”
“yessir! (insert laughter)”

“larry i’m going to go live at my mom’s and i’m taking the kids with me.”

:let’s gpo down to the disco and pick a fight.
:get er done.
an american southern peasant expression used to prod a workmate to complete a task in a timely manner. it was first used outside a farm field in the 1934 king vidor depression-era back-to-nature epic “our daily bread” in the mouth of one of the field workers on an irrigation project relaying the order to let the reservoir water through the irrigation ditch in the last scene of the film.

it also has obvious s-xual connotations, whether referring to the job of leading a bull to mount a cow or a man’s marital duty.

the expression was made extremely popular by us country/blue-collar comedian larry the cable guy (circa 2003) as the epitome of everything down home vulgar and redneck.
first worker: let the water through!
second worker: go, go, go!
third worker: let’er rip!
fourth worker: do it now!
fifth worker: get’er done!
word used by a big redneck like me.doesnt really have any purpose just something to put in anywhere and it works.
getr er dont,thats right.
kyle i beat off last night get er done thats right
larry the cable guy on blue collar tv uses this as a sort of catchphrase. it’s meaning is pretty much universal, but is mostly used as a way of agreeing with something enthusiastically.
son: hey dad, do i plug in the leaf blower now?
dad: geterdone!

dude1: dude, that chick is so hawt!
dude2: geterdone!

host: table for 2?
married couple: geterdone!
