usually used in online game play in certain situations.
for example if your are playing online and people keep talking or saying stupid comments and you want them to shut up.
ex:
xxxxannoyingkidxxxx: ah thats soo stupid i killed you blah blah blah whining blah!
dannyska: ahh yeah kid, get muted.
this is followed by muting that individual gamer, or not.
