getting mortal
a recent popular term to refer to the intention of becoming intoxicated from heavy alcohol consumption. generally used by the lesser educated and/or millennial generation as the phrase itself “getting mortal” literally translates as “becoming exactly the same as i currently am” as, after all, everyone with the exception of john wick is mortal.
overexcited girl: “tell you what guys i cant wait for tonight im getting mortal”
educated friend: “you mean your immortal, you can’t die?”
overexcited girl: “what?”
educated friend: “tw-t.”
