gigapause
the gigapause was an extensive period of time, lasting for nearly a year, when the creator of homestuck (andrew hussie) took some time off of posting updates for the popular webcomic. during that time, homestucks barely clung to life as they awaited more updates. when the gigaunpaused was released, ms paint adventures crashed, and multiple bugs showed up, all because so many homestucks logged on all at once.
non-informed person: “i heard that that person reads something called homestuck… what is that?”
person in their right mind: “go ahead and ask them, but do not mention the word ‘gigapause’ if you want to live.”
