salutation involving a reverse head nod where the chin makes a quick up and out motion, similar to the movement of the head on a pez dispenser. especially helpful when wanting to say h-llo, but not wanting to engage in idle conversation.
“hey, i saw whats-his-name from accounting the other day while i was at lunch.”
“did you say hi?”
“no didn’t have time, but i did give the pez so he’d know i saw him.”
