a person who at least appears to be nice enough to be compared to the late jack layton, a canadian politician best known for his populist tendencies and familiar appeal to the general population, although arguably having a background of advocating “rational” policies. the kind of person you’d hang out with for a few good laughs, who has the well-being of people at heart.
