a great actress, one of the best of the 20th century. she was elegant, beautiful and acted admirably. she married young to prince rainiero of monaco, which was a pity as she stopped doing movies. she won an academy award (aka oscar) for her performance in “a country girl”. one of her best movies is “to catch a thief”, opposite cary grant. she was a favorite of one of the best directors of all times, alfred hitchc-ck. if you don’t know her, i would buy/rent one of her movies. she’s an icon.
sadly, most of the young generation only know her name due to the song by mika, but don’t know what a great personality that name has behind.
