when students find that exams are getting tougher, which means they need to work much harder and think smarter to score a similar grade their seniors got.
unlike american educators who complain of grade inflation, which makes both students and their parents happy, singapore educators complain about grade deflation, as fewer of their students are scoring a distinction.
