Graybola

an instrument belonging to the bowed string family that resembles the common viola in size and shape. a notable exception is in the setup of the strings. instead of four tuned steel strings, the graybola features only a single string, untuned, and comprised of a single, long strand of -ss-hair. the graybola was made famous by rising folk prodigy, zachary addison. the instrument was most notably used in addison’s h-t single, “over the hill.”
ted: “what is that pure and true instrument i just heard?”
bill: “that would be the graybola!”
