hala ka
it’s a filipino expression used to frighten someone when someone does something bad, or when there’s something terrifying and you want to frighten someone.
this is also used to make a joke by frightening someone.
1. older guy telling a boy:
hala ka, there’s a ghost inside the room (with an imaginary smiling face above the head).
2. girl: hala ka, some people are saying that the world will end soon.
3. girl1: i accidentally broke my mom’s gl-sses. 🙁
girl2: hala ka, mom’s gonna be mad at you!
