the network of al-quaeda- and taliban-allied insurgent groups operating in the afghanistan-pakistan border. it is fighting with nato forces and government forces of afghanistan and pakistan under the leadership of jalaluddin haqqani and his son sirajuddin haqqani.
the haqqani network is one of the horrendous terrorist outfits in the world.
