any piece of literature that is very addictive, keeping the reader from putting it down. it can also make the reader immediately want to buy the next volume in a series, if more exist.
“my friend loaned me the first books in the transmetropolitan series and the preacher series; they’re so friggin’ cool, i need to read more!”
