Heavy Noir


a subset of the noir genre of film and literature. heavy noir is any of a burgeoning set of neo-noir works featuring hard choice, gritty settings, flawed characters, and a fatalistic view of virtue set in a modern setting. examples include films such as brick and chrysalis and novels such as crooked little vein.
even when you win you lose, this day is so heavy noir.
