the act of living in solitude willingly; the act of purposely habitating in remote locations lightly populated if at all with the sole purpose of avoidng engagements with annoying humans and man made disturbances e.g. traffic, noise, bad smells, stupidity, etc.
i’d choose hermitery over city life anyday!
