home and garden television

the tv station that encourages the same conformity, wastefulness, shallow att-tudes, irresponsability, mmaterialism, and rootlessness that has been pandemic in the usa for decades. sister station to tlc and to some extent the discovery channel and a&e (it used to be none of these used to suck).

typified by such awful shows as designed to sell, curb appeal, house hunters, and worst of all my parents house.
all i ever see on that d-mned hgtv are people sending all the old furnishings/architectural details, and long established plantings to the landfill (but only after destroying them thouroughly).

the people who watch hgtv are mostly a bunch of sheep and probably watch fox news as well.

the boring channel you always see your mother watching on sunday mornings.
dammit mom, hgtv is the most boring on tv, i wanna watch the golf channel.
home and garden television. a cable network that devotes its themes to planting gardens, home improvement and real estate. many of its shows–especially the real estate ones–are produced to promote materialism and ent-tlement and shallowness, where members of upper socioeconomic cl-sses buy homes that are not only ridiculously large and unnecessary, but unaffordable for even most of the middle-cl-ss. in my opinion many of its real estate shows typify waste in america, but its other shows about gardening and home improvement can be helpfull.
the hgtv network, although often fun to watch and perhaps helpful in home decorating, seems to promote materialism, greed and ent-tlement in many of its themes.
