high focus

a drug and alcohol abuse program in new jersey. there are several centers, all in northern jersey. for four hours a day, four days a week, “patients” are har-ssed and bombarded with more rhetorical questions than i thought even existed. after several weeks, patients begin to lie, simply to get out faster. it is not supportive or useful; i would estimate it has a less than 5% success rate. if you’re thinking of sending you’re kid to rehab, send them anywhere but to this one.
“nah, i can’t smoke, i’ve got high focus this afternoon”
“oh. would you like me to kill you and take you out of your definite and impending misery?”
“absolutely.”
