hiroshima effect
refers to the sudden rush or onset of a state of intoxication that occurs after the user enters a warm climate after consuming marijuana out in the cold.
usually -ssociated with the consumption of marijuana or marijuana derivative.
unknown origin, but -ssumed to be coined in ontario, canada around 1988.
it draws on the idea that a sudden rush or onset of extreme intoxication (really high) is like being hit by an atomic bomb.
smoking a joint in the parking lot of a nightclub in weather below -5c, gives you a little buzz. however, when you go inside to a very warm dance floor you suddenly realize how incredibly stoned you are.
this is the hiroshima effect.
