hobo shuffle
(verb) a term used when a group of low life freeloaders switch up their living situations by basically just switching housing. often inspired because one living situation may include caring for an aging relative, or perhaps someone lost their license and needs to live closer to their workplace. no one is really moving up in their housing status, it’s a circular, nonprofitable move.
whitney: “conrad and i can’t stand taking care of grampa any longer! my sister and her three kids are going to have to move in.”
emily: “where will you go though?”
whitney: “we’ll move in to her place! or in with you, lol.”
emily: “so you’re doing the hobo shuffle!”
