used to describe a woman who can seamlessly transition from looking rather plain jane, ordinary or simply above average, in the looks department to looking like a fabulous 10 dimepiece, usually through the use of makeup. this is typical of celebrities who are very beautiful with makeup on but only average looking without being beat up. prime examples are morgan stewart (richkids), sierra dawn thomas (survivor), kristen nicole barned (mua), claudia williams (anom) etc.
