the over confidence in one’s ability to deal with failure; rooted in having survived so many “fails”, especially “epic fails”, that one has the ability to head boldly into any situation, no matter how hopeless, and have the confidence that when faced with inevitable failure, they will invariably figure out how to deal with it…
she has hubris of failure and thinks that she’ll figure out how to keep herself out of any real trouble. she once bragged that she’d been arrested three times and had yet to be convicted of anything.
