Huetaupia

(noun) a state of advanced decor deshuetude, in which, paintbrush in hand, a person trying to improve their home’s appearance realizes that he (or even more likely she) has sadly fallen victim to the tyranny of good taste, and has definitely gone “a beige too far.”
husband: “let’s see…you’re painting our bedroom fortress beige, and you just got done with doing our living room over in galvanic greige, right after you reno’d the bathroom in that mouse’s back color….are you sure you want to do this, honey? aren’t you getting into a state of huetaupia?”
wife: “what? are you suggesting…that i may have gone ‘a beige too far’ ?” (then they both fall over laughing.)
