i can’t do math!
when self-deprecation is used as a badge of honor to announce to the whole world how “hopeless” or “stupid” you are at school math, while being aware that society unspokenly can’t stand those who like to show off their mathematical talents as well.
the “i can’t do math!” att-tude could often be traced to the way math is uncreatively taught in school: memorization followed by repet-tion with the pressure of exercises and tests, which is the recipe for more students wanting to drop math once it becomes optional.
