a weapon straight from the original metroid, this beam will freeze enemies. samus aran once used this weapon to freeze metroids in order to kill them.
i must use the ice beam to destroy the metroid.
a very useful weapon in metroid. it allows you to temporarily freeze enemies. although no damage is done to the enemy, another shot to un-freeze will cause damage. a must-have weapon once you get to tourian.
with enough skill, the ice beam can be used to freeze rippers or other enemies to form a stepping stone to reach places you normally couldn’t get to.
