having a quality of inspiration, or an inspiring nature, utilizing generic sounding indie music and exaggerated, yet understated aesthetics. the music will have an uplifting tempo, will contain a folky, semi-exotic instrument such as a banjo or mandolin, and carry an unnecessary amount of whistling and group “woah-oh-oooh’s.” the aesthetic will have far too many quick cuts in the editing, lens flares, rack focuses, and inserts of people being unnaturally at ease. many companies have taken advantage of the indiespirational approach to marketing, in an attempt to seem more family-operated.
wow! that wal-green’s commercial sure was indiespirational! i feel like they’re part of my family. their products must be quality.
