insantics
a portmanteau (combination of two or more words or morphemes, see also wordbining) consisting of all or portions of insane/insanity, santa, and antics. describes the crazy acts undertaken by people who are altogether nutty about christmas and -ssociated decorations, celebrations, music, etc. one who overindulges in these acts could also be called an insantic.
we don’t need any insantics like last year- just say no to flaming egg nog!!!
