Interstate mind
the state of mind one gets after driving on the highway/interstate for an extended period of time, where the driver feels like they are driving slow once on city and residential streets, and/or speed without realizing it.
after driving for hours thomas got off the highway and had interstate mind, and found himself speeding through the neighborhood.
