Jehovah

the divine name of g-d, as used in the english language. from the ancient hebrew, which had no vowels, yhvh or jhvh. other languages use similar spellings.
the name jehovah is so fearsome to some people that they went to the trouble to remove it from his own book. they alternate between the excuses, that we don’t know the original pr-nunciation of g-d’s name, and that g-d’s name is jesus, when in fact, jesus isn’t the original pr-nunciation of yeshua’s name and that doesn’t seem to bother them.

“the fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom”, (ps. 111:10), so fearing his name is fine. however, how is one to gain further wisdom when one fears fear itself more than one fears jehovah?
a christian religion that is simply slightly stricter than others.
i was once part of this religion and can -ssure you that it is not a crazy cult that convinces you to give them money. this religion believes that there is only one god jehovah (which is actually in the bible btw) and that we must try hard to follow his rules if we wish to get into paridise and live for ever.
it does not invent crazy irrational rules out of nowhere it simply follows exactly what the bible says. some might say that this is stupid but imo it is completlely pointless to only follow the rules in the bible that you like and ignore the ones that you you dont like some religions do.

in the bible it does state that you should refrain from any thing to do with paganism and we all know for a fact that christmas is a pagan religion.

it isn’t about not having fun, or drinking or having parties its about having morals.
personally i decided to leave the religion basically because i just plain don’t like orginised religion and i think that you dont have to go to 3 (the actual no. of meetings) a week to get in touch with god.

i know many people who i am still in touch with from the religion who are good friends of mine and do know how to have fun.

also the religion does not belive in h-ll and belives that on the day of judgment everybody will be reserected and judged in the eyes of god no matter what they have done becuase god will know if they are a good person or not. they do not belive in h-ll because a god that could torture somone for all eternity would not be a just god.

n-body in the religion is forced into anything children do not get baptised until they are at an age that they can decide for themselves what they want, me i decided it wasnt what i wanted but i wasn’t shunned or judged.

basically dont judge a religion that you dont really know anything about.
the g-d of abraham, issac and jacob, of the holy scriptures, the christian bible.
in the beginning, jehovah created the heavens and earth. jehovah your g-d is a jealous g-d.
jehovah

jehovah is the english pr-nunciation of the divine name. in in the hebrew scriptures the divine name was written yhwh or jhwh (tetragrammaton) because there are no vowels in hebrew. no one knows how to pr-nounce this name because the jews became superst-tious about saying the name out loud before the time of christ and the actual pr-nunciation was lost. scholars believe it to have sounded like yehowah or yahweh. saying jehovah in english is like saying miguel for michael in spanish, or like yeshua in hebrew is pr-nounced jesus in english.

jehovah means “to become,” and it was a popular hebrew name before g-d chose it. so when g-d chose this name for himself he was indicating that he would “become” whatever was needed to fulfill his purposes. the translation “i am” as seen in exodus 3 is commonly mistranslated and should more likely read “i will become,” as is explained in the p-ssages following.

the original scrolls of the christian greek scriptures didn’t last long and when catholicism came about in the 4th century yhwh began being replaced with lord and god due to the man made doctrine of the holy trinity. (if jesus were actually g-d, then it didn’t make sense to keep calling him jehovah, even though that name appeared almost 7,000 times in the hebrew scriptures.) but there really is no question that jesus and his disciples used the divine name, especially when quoting and reading from the hebrew scriptures where the name appeared. (see luke 4:16-21 and compare isaiah 61:1-2 in american standard version.)

jesus said that he made g-d’s name known to his disciples john 17:6, 26. and the book of ezekiel repeatedly says in the end times “they will know that i am jehovah.” (given that the bible you’re reading honors the divine name and has not subst-tuted it with lord.)
thou shalt not take the name of jehovah thy g-d in vain; for jehovah will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
the name of the pathetic god worshipped by many of the white-light religions.
if you really exist.. kill me now jehovah, this world is plain idiotic.
